I always end my year with a parent Open House. At this time the children make a final presentation about what we learned this year in first grade.

Materials:

Macintosh Computer, LTV Pro, Kids Pix, VCR, TV Monitor, Hyper Studio,digital camera

Procedures:

Throughout the year, I keep copies of all our class books and various activities that we do. I take pictures using the digital camera all year long of all activities. I store these pictures on the computer until the end of the year. At that time, I create a Hyper Studio stack with all these photos from the school year. The children cooperatively write reports about their year in first grade. I teach them "mouse etiquette," the do's and don'ts of using a mouse when presenting to a group. The children run the whole presentation using the large projection panel.
