My Background

This is my thirty-fourth year of teaching in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District in Wallingford, Pennsylvania. I have taught first, second, and fourth grades. During the 2001-2004 school years I served as the Technology Staff Developer for K-12 Technology Staff Development.

Technology Background

I have been a district technology trainer as well as a teacher of adult computer education for the community.

Two of my colleagues and I presented at PETC, Pennsylvania Educational Technology Conference, in March of '97 and "98.

I was featured in an article entitled Technology Integration Master Class written by Michael Milone in the August '98 issue of Technology and Learning Magazine. I presented at SchoolTech Expo and Conference in NYC in March 1999 sponsored by the same magazine.

I was at NECC'99 in Atlantic City. I held a two hour poster session where I shared my ideas with fellow teachers.

Some of my ideas are part of a new IRA publication called Linking Literacy and Technology: A Guide For K-8 Classrooms. It was edited by William Valmont, Shelley Wepner, and Rich Thurlow. I am also mentioned in the new book Beginning Reading and Writing edited by Dorothy S. Strickland and Lesley Morrow.

In October 99, I presented at Keystone State Reading Association Conference in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

I presented in NYC on April 30-May 2 at SchoolTech Expo and Conference 2000.

In August from the 17-19, I presented at SchoolTech Expo and Conference 2000 in Chicago.

In the fall of 2000, I presented to some local school districts in the suburban Philadelphia area.
